Moonbeam’s Hitchcock moment

Sometimes opportunities just present themselves. Moonbeam, our somewhat old and eccentric cat, has developed a habit of creeping behind the blinds on to the windowsill on a sunny morning. So, bleary-eyed one morning recently, I grabbed the camera, which is usually sitting somewhere in grabbing distance, and grabbed a few shots as she basked in rare British sun.
Everyone who has looked at this picture so far, at least those of a certain age, have said ‘Oooh, Alfred Hitchock’, which shows what a lasting power an image like this can have, since Hitchock’s shadowy presence in, I think, a TV show called ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents’ must have been aired in the 1960s, and not that often since.
