The Albert Memorial
For years the Albert memorial has been a somewhat dull and dirty landmark, but not so long ago underwent an extensive programme of refurbishment. The Victorians were very big on embellishment, and it seems like every square inch of surface has been encrusted with something shiny and precious.
The statuary at each corner represents (perhaps somewhat politically incorrectly in the 21st Century) the four corners of the British Empire.
I used a fisheye lens for this, which registers a field of view of 180 degrees, and distorts all horizontal and vertical lines.
